Adjusting Attitudes Towards Change Management

Why manage change? Change can be defined as the act of making something different. The concept of managing personal change has been studied for over a century. However, it wasn't until the mid-1980s that change management was explored within a business context. Change management has evolved into a crucial business discipline that drives positive results by modifying systems and behaviors. Therefore, managing change has become an essential skill for both leaders and employees in an organization.

OBJECTIVES OF CHANGE MANAGEMENT TRAINING: • Describe the WIFM – the individual motivators for change • Use required components to develop a change management plan • Employ strategies for communication, addressing concerns and issues, evaluating options, and adapting a change direction • Use strategies for aligning people with a change
